raptor ridge Winery, newberg, Oregon

The challenges for the project team was to create a handsome site sensitive project, that for the sake of budget limitations would be a hybrid design of steel pre-engineered building systems, and conventional high-wall poured in place concrete cellar structure, in combination with a integrated tasting room that exploited the beautiful vineyard setting.

The project had to be started in the late fall with extensive excavation and winter road work that would stand up to construction demands throughout the rainy Winter season. We exploited the excavation cavity for installation of a buried 40,000 gallon fire suppression system (required by the county).   We fulfilled our guarantees to the owner that the completed project would be ready for crush and their customers by the end of September (11 months hence).
